  • Course Introduction

    One of your most important functions as a manager is motivating your employees to do their best while attempting to meet corporate goals. When employees are motivated, they will seek out ways to improve their work production and maximize their performance. By giving employees the freedom to act on their own knowledge and skills, you will encourage them to ultimately be more productive for the company by fully utilizing their skill sets and, in the process, grow as professionals.

    Every work environment encompasses a wide variety of personalities and professional styles. As a result, conflicts are sure to arise. Effective managers know how to address a conflict when it arises and how to frequently work in concert with others to ensure a speedy resolution.


  • Unit 1: Motivation

    Motivation is important to consider when it comes to employee involvement in the workplace. The more motivated an employee is, the more productive they will be. As a manager, it is important to determine what motivates each of your employees and how they might become more productive. This unit will cover these topics.

  • Unit 2: Theories of Motivation in Management

    There are a few theories about workplace motivation and how to motivate others. These theories are important to understand so that you develop the ability to motivate others and keep your team productive.

    Completing this unit should take you approximately 2 hours. 

  • Unit 3: Empowerment

    Empowering others is an important skill to develop as you manage your team. Giving employees the power to complete their own jobs allows them to complete responsibilities and increase their own productivity. This unit covers empowerment in the workplace.

    Completing this unit should take you approximately 1 hour. 

  • Unit 4: Defining Conflict Resolution

    Before you can resolve conflict, you must be able to define conflict. Sometimes, conflict can be difficult to analyze, and discovering exactly what the issue is can be challenging. This unit covers understanding and defining conflict, which will help you to later assist in resolving the conflict.

    Completing this unit should take you approximately 2 hours. 

  • Unit 5: Conflict Resolution

    Conflict resolution is an important skill that will be useful in every position you will hold. Conflict naturally occurs in the workplace, and understanding why and how to resolve it will assist in managing your team and increasing their overall productivity.

    Completing this unit should take you approximately 1 hour. 

  • Certificate Final Exam

    Take this exam if you want to earn a free Course Completion Certificate.

    To receive a free Course Completion Certificate, you will need to earn a grade of 70% or higher on this final exam. Your grade for the exam will be calculated as soon as you complete it. If you do not pass the exam on your first try, you can take it again as many times as you want, with a 7-day waiting period between each attempt.

    Once you pass this final exam, you will be awarded a free Course Completion Certificate.
