Confidence Interval Demonstration

Answers

  1. 95% contain the mean, so 1 - 0.95 = 0.05 do not.

  2. The wider the inverval, the more confident you are that the interval contains the population mean.

  3. Larger sample sizes decrease the width of confidence intervals but leave the probability that the interval contains the population mean unchanged.

  4.  It is not possible because the 99% confidence interval extends the 95% confidence interval at both ends.
