As promised, Dr. Sunny has some advice for how to manage the many types of communication apprehension that we might experience as people who are new to public speaking. Dr. Sunny suggests a process called cognitive restructuring. In this presentation, she provides some insights into managing communication anxiety and explains the three-step process. First, identify your fear. Second, identify the basis of your fear. And third, learn to change your attitude. This last step includes evaluating your fears and desensitizing yourself so you can change your attitude.
