Code Studio: Styling Your First Page
Practice the CSS from Styling with CSS. You edit only the stylesheet; the To-Do page from the reading is already loaded, and your rules are applied to it every time you press Run.
The starter already contains the rules from the reading. Now try the experiments:
- Change the page background to
lightyellowor#ffeedd. - Make all paragraph text italic with
font-style: italic;. - Add a rule for links (
a) that changes their color and removes the underline. - Give the list items (
li) some space withmargin-bottom: 0.5rem;. - Add a
:hoverrule so a link changes color when you point at it.
Remember the pattern: selector { property: value; }. If a rule seems to do nothing, check the spelling of the property and that every line ends with a semicolon.
